Detailed Picture
How it works?
The switchgear of type series 01 is fixed in a positive lock and is self-aligning between the floor of a conductive housing and a contact cap which is made of steel and insulated from it, plus an integrated stationary silver contact which closes the housing like a button cell. At the same time, the spring snap-in disc which forms the current transfer element bears the movable contact and discharges the flow of current and self-heating from the bimetallic disc by exercising consistent, steady contact pressure. The bimetallic disc is held on the one movable contact which sticks out through this without having to be welded or fixed. As such, it can continually work (exposed) and only reacts to the ambient temperature in the device to be protected. When the rated switching temperature is reached, the bimetallic disc snaps into its inverted position and pushes the spring snap-in disc downwards. The contact is abruptly opened and the temperature rise of the device to be protected is disrupted. If the ambient temperature now falls, the bimetallic disc snaps back into its start position when reaching the defined reset temperature and the contact is closed again.

Connection in Series
What's the difference between N/C and N/O
Normally Closed: When the temperature falls to the reset temperature, the thermostat contact can be connected again. (If the reset temperature is not reached, the thermostat contact is also disconnected)
Normally Open: When the temperature falls to the reset temperature, the thermostat contact can be disconnected again. (If the reset temperature is not reached, the thermostat contact is also connected)
Please Note :
- During installation, the temperature switch should be completely close to the mounting surface of the tested appliance.
- Do not collapse or deform the plastic / metal shell during installation.
- For metal temperature controller, when using, do not remove the insulating sleeve to avoid electric leakage. Not suitable for working in water.
- Not suitable for air temperature sensing, only applies to contact sensing.

Selection of the Fuse and Holder Solution
The first step is to answer the following questions:
- Will the fuse need to accessible for replacement?
- How often will the fuse need to be replaced?
- Should the end customer of the appliance have access to change the fuse?
- Should the fuse only be accessible from outside the appliance?
- How much is available to spend on safety and reliability?
5.1.2. Requirements and characteristics
The most important standards for fuse-holders, which specify requirements, characteristics and testing methods are:
- IEC-publication 257 (1968) and Amendment no. 2 to this publication dated January 1989.
- UL-standard no. 512.
